These terms apply when you use this website or buy from us. Placing an order means you accept them.

Who you are contracting with. Soderlund's Wood Mill is a trading name of Soderlund Wood Mill Inc., a Minnesota corporation authorized to transact business in the State of Wisconsin, with its showroom at 2012 US-8, St. Croix Falls, WI 54024.

Products

We sell saunas, sauna heaters, cedar log swings, outdoor log furniture, cedar picnic tables, log railing, carved signs and chainsaw carvings. Wood is a natural material: grain, colour and knot patterns vary between pieces, and chainsaw carvings are individually made, so no two are identical. Photographs show representative examples rather than the exact item you will receive.

We aim to keep prices and availability accurate, but errors happen. If we have listed something at the wrong price, we will contact you before charging you and you can cancel.

Orders and payment

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm in writing or take payment. We may decline an order — for example, if an item is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we suspect fraud.

For smaller purchases we accept cash, personal check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, debit cards, invoice and PayPal.

For larger purchases such as a full sauna, we accept cash, check or financing only — we do not take card payment on a full sauna purchase. Financing is available through Wells Fargo Retail Services, including a 0% for 12 months option. Financing is subject to application and approval by Wells Fargo Retail Services on their terms.

Delivery and installation

We deliver and install within 60 miles of St. Croix Falls, WI. If you are outside that area, please get in touch — we will usually still take the job at an adjusted installation rate.

Delivery and installation is quoted by sauna size and by your site. We will give you a figure before you commit.

Lead times depend on the model and on what we have in stock — we carry many items, and some are ordered in. We will give you our best estimate when you order and keep you updated if it moves, but lead times are estimates, not guarantees.

Where installation is included, it covers installation of the sauna to the manufacturer's specifications and, where applicable, wiring of low-voltage elements such as LED lighting, and installation of sauna stoves. It does not cover any work that legally must be performed by a licensed electrician. You are responsible for arranging that work, for ensuring the site is accessible and compliant with local building and electrical codes, and for obtaining any permits.

What we do need from you on the day: someone there when we arrive to show us where the sauna is going, and a clear route to that spot. You do not need to stay for the rest of the installation. A driveway helps but is not necessary — we hand-carry materials to the build location rather than bringing heavy equipment onto your property.

You must inspect goods on delivery and tell us about any visible damage within 30 days.

Warranty

Sauna heaters are covered by the manufacturer's warranty supplied with the unit. We will help you make a claim under it.

Our own woodwork is warranted against defects in workmanship for 1 year from delivery. This does not cover normal weathering, checking or splitting of wood, damage from misuse or improper maintenance, or wear from ordinary use.

Nothing here removes rights you have under Wisconsin or Minnesota consumer law.

Using this website

You may use the site to browse and buy. You may not copy our photographs, product descriptions or carving designs for your own commercial use without written permission.

Limits on our liability

We are responsible for loss that follows directly and foreseeably from our breach of these terms. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Saunas involve heat and, in some models, fire. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidance. We are not responsible for injury or damage arising from improper installation by others, misuse, or failure to maintain the equipment.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Wisconsin, where our premises are and where our work is carried out. Any dispute arising out of them will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Polk County, Wisconsin, and both parties agree to that venue.
